MYRA

The days are still freaking me out since I am enjoying too much the visits of friends. The jungle seems to have no ending ... never sleeps.

Yesterdays crazy 25th of the month brought some additional excitement: sunshine, Waldschrat's visit in the library (around 17 o'clock), loss of the entrance survival thing, frustration, aggression and swimming - against the flow to finish the work; and then the metal-gothic concert of MYRA in Gamla Bageriet/Frösön. The freshly founded band (2005) with six young people that are probably between 17 and 20 years old, have composed pieces with elements of classic rock, hardcore, phantasy and speed metal parts underlined with a voice similar to "Sisters of Mercy". I found yesterday a listening sample in the web - but it disappeared. What a pity! I did not take the chance to ask for a CD - but they are around ;)

[I like very much the three rays from the top ;)]

It is enormously strange to observe one owns emotions when the atmosphere between people and work is in tentions - and how effectively music can solve the problem.

Let us sing!

"... we all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine ..."

  1. Picture yourself in a boat on a river
    with tangerine trees and
    marmelade skies.....
    somebody calls you
    you answer quite slowly
    a girl with kaleidoscope eyes.....

the jungle never sleeps

Leva dagen i skolan. Leva dagen i Östersund, ock?
And being alone with time, I decided to travel North. The annual Vintermarknad of Sámi people is taken place in Jokkmokk. It is historically known as gathering of Sámi families to exchange news, goodis and I guess a happening for the youth, too. Ok, going there by night train was an adventure in itself; snorring people and falling children and then, 25 degrees celsius minus and bright sunshine ... Totally lost but truly there with: - a lot of Sámi - amazing tourists - and reindeer races for them - luxery - culture and art - weather - flora and fauna (reindeer) - beart wearing men - yoiks - atmosphere - interesting lectures and discussions - delicious food (reindeer, reindeer kebab, lingonberry marmelade) - and freezing feet ... ... by then it turned to be minus 35 degrees celsius. One night in a hostel and the night train back. The World Rhythm Music Festival in Östersund went by past weekend - and as the North is always performing on high standards it has been again very wonderful wit...

Meißen

So, here I am, since June 1st, official inhabitant of Meißen, Saxony. It happened fast, first attending an energy forum, meeting many different people, sending the initiative application, being invited - bang! - having th job, finding a flat, moving from Göttingen and starting a very unknown new chapter of life. Now, being an official member of the office class, time just moves on very quick - back then, when time was always present, plenty enough for letting the feet do what they wanted to, having too much time, turning and twisting in circles ... now, sometimes it feels that time is like sand: as soon as you dug up a handful, it runs through your fingers - thanks to gravity! The new challenge keeps me busy, exhausted but with full speed, river Elbe whispering into my ears, moving on paths taken by C. D. Friedrich, feeling strange but good.
